3rd August
Before we begin, your daily transmission has been interrupted for this important message. In regards to yesterdays downpour, many girls got wet through their coats as they proved not to be waterproof š
Here are the towels from yesterday. And yes, they are snakes but many saw something else...
(Bonus points for anyone who can guess the musical the title is parodying - hint itās about trains and by Andrew Lloyd Webber)
FUN FACT OF THE DAY: The boats are brought to the lake in pieces and assembled on the lake! š¢
Today was smashing weather with insane views. It was an amazing insight into the Swiss transportation system all rounded up with a walk through the Ar Gorge.
Hermione - I liked the pinning ceremony on the top of the mountain. We were given badges from Our Chalet after we retook our promise.
Amelia - I enjoyed going up on the train. The steam went in our faces which cooled us down as it turned to water because the carriages were open sided.
Emily S - On the way down on the open train we were all singing. At the end of Princess Pat the other passengers clapped as all our group were singing! While we were waiting we saw loads of people passing by the trains. That was funny because it was an odd place to do it.
Sophie - Megan G and I got tired so we had a nice little nap on the train. Although, we were woken up by other guides singing.
Daisy - When we were on the train, Megan wanted to find out what tetanus was so we found out (rabies). I told people near me about a game at primary school we used to play. you run around and tag each other and say āYouāve got itā. Millie decided we should play and so we did. This game never stops so it goes round and round and round. We even got the leaders involved!
Bonnie - We went through a gorge so it was very echoey. Me and Emily W decided to sing the Sound of Music and just singing in the gospel style. We got lots of death stares...
Emily (sorry not sure which Emily!) - When we went though the gorge and got to the other side we came to a really cool train station in the rock! It wasnāt like a secret passage!
Holly - My favourite part of the day was getting in the transport and meeting new people. We met some lovely Australian people, but I didnāt try my accent on them! We also had a disaster when Bonnie left her camera on the train! Thankfully Deano ran back and found it! Mum - no My camera is broken.
Megan T - I loved the cake for dessert. It was Swiss roll.
Megan G - Me and Sophie and Holly started our own massage company - donation of chocolate for one massage! Sophie doing āeggā massage and me doing regular ones.
Olivia - I enjoyed the wind today because the weather was very hot.
Bronwyn - The highlight of my day was hearing Amelia sing and dance at the top of Brienz Rothorn. She has such a beautiful voice.
With a busy day, hopping between trains and running to stations and boats, weāve all had an excellent time with more memories made and pictures shared.
