30th July

After a much needed night’s sleep, we made our way up Harder Kulm on a funicular. At the top, we could see the whole of Interlaken. We ate our packed lunch on the way back down the mountain. We then got the boat to Isetwald and then another boat to Bönigen. At Bönigen there was a pool and a place to swim in the lake with giant inflatables including slides and trampolines.we got the bus back from the pool and ate dinner at the hotel.

Amelia - My favourite part of today is when we went swimming and there giant inflatable trampolines in the lake. There was an inflatable beam joining the two inflatables and I managed to climb across it!

Holly - My favourite part of the day was jumping in and out of the water with Hermione and throwing myself into the slide.

Olivia - My favourite part was going down the slides on the inflatable and splashing around the lake.

Pia - My favourite part of today was going up the fenicular on the mountain. It was a train of sorts going up an incredibly steep hill. It looked very scary but it was really cool to see all the views!

Milly - I loved going up to the very top of the hill so we could see the whole of Interlaken. The view was amazing!

Zoe - I was proud how I managed to stand on the platform at the edge of the mountain and how I managed to conquer my fear of heights.

Emily W - I really liked the ice creams we bought at the pool because the flavours were different to what we have at home.

Some of the highlights of today included Poppy needing to borrow Jenny’s walking boots then Jenny borrowing Toby’s boots and him wearing flip flops for some of the walk down (apparently it’s a scout thing?) 😳

Another highlight was Carolyn wrote down that Dean was lactose intolerant even though he isn’t. As a consequence of this, Dean hasn’t been given any pudding at all. Whilst everyone was eating chocolate mousse or crême caramel, Dean was tucking into his lovely plate of melon. He also gets 2 apples instead of chocolate in his packed lunch. As you can tell, Dean isn’t all that happy.

We’ve had a great day and can’t wait for the rest! From Pia, Clare, Holly and Milly.
