Day 1 - Welcome Travellers!

Today we flew from Heathrow Airport to Zurich, Switzerland. We arrived at Waldhotel Unspunnen in Interlaken at around 18:30. Here’s some of our favourite things about today.

Amy W - My favourite part was being at the airport and going into the different shops.

Olivia - My favourite part was being on the plane when a flight attendant gave me a free pudding.

Isobel G, Sophie G, Megan and Daisy - We liked the escalators the best because they only turned on when you walked past the sensors which saves lots of energy.

Holly - My favourite part of the day was the journey from Zurich to the Youth Hostel, looking at the view and excited to unpack.

Hermione - My favourite part was the plane journey because I could see the clouds and mountains from the window.

Emily W and Emily S - Our favourite part was the bus from Zurich to Interlaken because of the really comfy seats, the cool things we could see and getting to laugh with out friends.

Bonnie - My favourite part was going from our plane to collect our luggage as we had to get a train and lots of yodelling music was playing.

Chris - My flight to Zurich was a bit of a nightmare. Not the 20 Guides! But 2 young men who sat in front of me sat and rocked through the whole journey. I’m glad I didn’t ask them to stop as when they stood up they were 7ft tall.

Well done to Megan who flew for the first tome today and handled it like a pro! We are looking forward to the rest of our trip! - Pia, Holly and Milly
